    New York City Immigration Lawyer

Every immigrant faces challenges unique to his or her situation—whether trying to overcome barriers in obtaining visas, legal permanent residency, or U.S. citizenship. Immigration laws are complicated and often do not make sense to the average person. When English is not your native language, the task becomes even more difficult. You need an experienced immigration lawyer in New York City to help you understand the laws and advise the right course of action. The Law Office of Evelyn Tossas Tucker can help.

Avoiding problems through New York City immigration lawyers

A visit to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website provides abundant information and a massive number of available forms and options. Forms must be filled out correctly, submitted under proper time lines, and contain complete information. Errors result in delays or perhaps denial of desired objectives.

A risk of deportation may exist if you have unresolved criminal convictions or immigration law violations. Even previous convictions in your native country or minor U.S. misdemeanor convictions can lead to USCIS deportation proceedings. Experienced immigration lawyers in New York City can review the details your situation and advise the best approach for achieving your goals.

For example, entering the United States on the wrong visa for the purpose of marriage can result in deportation. When bringing a fiancé to the United States to marry, you must comply with immigration requirements or your future spouse can end up barred from U.S. entry for as many as five years or more.

Seek legal help from a New York City citizenship lawyer

More than 20 years of experience provides Evelyn Tossas Tucker and her New York City Immigration Law Firm with the knowledge and insight to resolve immigration problems. The path to U.S. citizenship can be long and requires meeting immigration regulations every step of the way.

Evelyn Tossas Tucker is highly experienced as acitizenship lawyer in New York City and can advise solutions such as eligibility waivers, political asylum, U visas, and other recourses.
