Earl Schaffer, Divorce Lawyer in Annapolis is from Mamaroneck, New York. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1967.

He attended law school at George Washington University in Washington, DC, and received his Juris Doctorate from George Washington University in 1971. During and following law school Mr. Schaffer served six years in the Maryland National Guard and United States Army Reserve.

Mr. Schaffer is admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association.

Mr. Schaffer clerked for the judges of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland. He was an early member of the Annapolis Environmental Commission.

Mr. Schaffer has been active with the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce, serving as its President in 1993. He served on the Anne Arundel County Severna Park Small Area Plan Committee. He is a member of ASPIRE, an organization dedicated to the future planning of the Severna Park community.

Mr. Schaffer concentrates his practice in condominium law, homeowners associations, business formation and representation, real estate, wills and trusts, estate administration, and general litigation.

Bill Corbin is the founding member of what has become Corbin, Schaffer & Aviles, Chartered. He was born in Frederick, Maryland in 1940 and graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Corbin was a Captain in the United States Air Force Security Service. He was a Signal Intelligence Officer stationed in Texas, Germany and Greece.

Mr. Corbin returned to the University of Maryland for law school and received his Juris Doctorate in 1971. After law school he worked for the law firm of Anderson, Coe and King in Baltimore.

Mr. Corbin opened the doors of what is now Corbin, Schaffer & Aviles, Chartered in 1973 in Severna Park where he has practiced since. He was a member of the Maryland House of Delegates staff from 1975 through 1976.

For ten years in the 1980′s and 1990′s Mr. Corbin was an officer in the Maryland State Guard attaining the rank of Colonel. He commanded a Brigade and was Deputy Commander of the entire State Guard. During that time he received many awards for service to the State of Maryland.

Mr. Corbin is admitted to practice by the Maryland Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. He is a former Section council member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Family Law Section. This is the leadership group of the State Bar Family Law Section. Both in conjunction with the Section and otherwise, Mr. Corbin has taught other attorneys and Judges in various programs of continuing Legal Education. He is an active member of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association Family Law Committee.
